pH Testing in the food industry is a high priority for product quality control and consistency. Testing ensures that food products have an adequate acidity level that will prevent the growth of foodborne pathogens. An adequate pH also helps control the product taste and other properties, and to prolong shelf life. We offer pH testing for $10.00 per product.
Sampling (client has created product and has a shelf stable recipe)
If a client has a recipe that is already developed and needs no other information or consultation, then Nelson Farms will work with them to make a sample of their product/recipe for $100.00 per product. Two samples of each product are included in this fee with the exception of ingredient costs and shipping (if applicable). Sampling involves weighing and recording ingredients and cooking the product sample in the Nelson Farms test kitchen.
Schedule Process Filing
If the product requires a schedule process, Nelson Farms has years of experience in working with Cornell and will gladly assist the client in the application process. The schedule process filing fee is $30.00 which is due prior to sending the information to Cornell.
